The Columbus East Girls Swimming and Diving team celebrated a dominant victory against the New Albany Bulldogs with a score of 113-66 at the Columbus East Swimming Complex this past Saturday. Standout performances included Cassidy Furnish, securing victories in the 200 freestyle (2:16.79) and 500 freestyle (6:07.88), and Connelly Furnish, who took the 50 freestyle (27.16) and 100 butterfly (1:06.38). The team further showcased their strength with Kira VanValkenburg's win in the 200 IM (2:35.02), Gabbie Meier's diving triumph (229.65), Abby Proffitt's 100 freestyle victory (1:01.24), and Ali Trueblood's capture of the 100 breaststroke (1:18.09). The Olympians swept the 200 medley relay (2:07.37), 200 freestyle relay (1:55.82), and 200 freestyle relay (4:11.44). The Columbus East Girls Swimming and Diving team's stellar performances underscore both individual and collective excellence in the pool.
