Olympian JV Volleyball Set for Providence Invitational This Saturday -Tourney Info

The Columbus East Olympian junior varsity volleyball team will head south this weekend to compete in the 23rd Annual Providence JV Invitational on Saturday, October 11, at Providence High School’s Robert I. Larkin Athletic Center in Clarksville. The event begins with first serves at 9:00 a.m. (EDT), and matches will continue throughout the day. Doors open at 8:00 a.m. Columbus East has been placed in Pool C, joining Floyd Central, Brownstown Central, and Jeffersonville in the opening round of play. Each team will compete in a three-team pool format, followed by a re-pooling later in the day based on results. Teams advancing from their first pool will be grouped into Gold, Silver, or Bronze divisions for additional matches. Every squad is guaranteed four competitive matches on the day. Admission is $7 per person, payable in cash at the gate or digitally through Eventlink: https://public.eventlink.com/tickets?t=135886&p=208172 Concessions will be available, and fans are encouraged to plan accordingly since Providence will not be providing food for teams. Parents may gather outside the venue between matches for team meals. Parking is available in the front lot of Providence High School, with buses asked to avoid the circle drop-off area. Spectators should enter through the main entrance of the Larkin Center. The Olympians will look to make a strong showing in this competitive field that includes several top JV programs from across southern Indiana.
