The Columbus East girls soccer team closed out its regular season Thursday night with a 3-1 setback against Hoosier Hills Conference rival Seymour on their home field. The Olympians found the net in the second half when Hannah Weidner converted a setup from Sophie Glick, but the Owls controlled much of the match and came away with the victory. With the regular season behind them, East now turns its attention to the postseason. The Olympians earned a first-round bye in the Class 3A Greenwood Sectional and will face Center Grove in a semifinal matchup on Oct. 9 at approximately 8 p.m. Good luck Olympians!
