Highlanders Sweep Olympians in HHC Volleyball Clash

The Columbus East girls volleyball team hit the road Thursday night for a Hoosier Hills Conference matchup against Floyd Central. The Olympians battled, but the Highlanders proved too strong, taking the match in three sets, 25-13, 25-6, 25-14. Despite the loss, several Olympians turned in key performances. Lilah Klei led the defensive effort with three blocks, while Krea Martin and Shelby Sharp each contributed three digs. At the net, Addy Dean and Cadence Smith powered down three kills apiece, and setters Kenlee Gault and Payten Osborn both finished with six assists to pace the East offense. Columbus East will look to regroup quickly as they play their 3rd straight road match at Bloomington South H.S., Tuesday, September 30th.
