Jennings County H.S. — The Columbus East boys tennis team battled hard in the second round of the Hoosier Hills Conference Tournament on Wednesday evening but came up just short, falling 3-2 to Jennings County. The Olympians secured both of their victories in singles play. At No. 2 singles, Kai Bergman fought through a tight first set before pulling away for a 7-5, 6-3 win. Landon Redelman followed with a strong performance at No. 3 singles, cruising to a 6-1, 6-0 victory. Despite the singles success, East was unable to find a win in doubles or at No. 1 singles, allowing the Panthers to edge out the team match. The Olympians will return to action Thursday evening when they host Bedford North Lawrence in their final round of the HHC Tournament.
