JEFFERSONVILLE HIGH SCHOOL - The Columbus East girls soccer team made the trip south Tuesday night for a Hoosier Hills Conference matchup against Jeffersonville but came up short, falling 4-1 to the Red Devils. The Olympians battled throughout the contest and managed to break through offensively in the second half when Bree Hatcher found the back of the net. Morgan Scott set up the play with a well-placed assist, giving East its lone goal of the evening. Despite the loss, the Olympians showed fight against a strong Red Devil squad and will look to regroup as they close out the regular season and get ready for IHSAA Tournament time.
