Columbus East High School

The Columbus East boys tennis team opened the Hoosier Hills Conference tournament Tuesday night at Seymour High School, where the Owls claimed a 5-0 victory. In doubles play, Michael Reed and Micah Wettschurack fell 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1, while the No. 2 duo of Carson Hartsook and Cooper Harry dropped their match 6-1, 6-2. In singles action, Trevor Ernst at No. 1 and Kai Bergmann at No. 2 each fell by identical 6-0, 6-1 scores. At No. 3 singles, Landon Redelman battled but came up short, 6-1, 6-1.
