The Columbus East freshman football team kept their undefeated season rolling Saturday morning in Sellersburg, earning a 34-12 victory over Silver Creek. The Olympians’ offense was clicking as Jayden Wilcox found the end zone once, while Miles Broaddus powered in for three touchdowns. Owen Hatfield also added a score to round out East’s balanced attack. On the defensive side, Luke Lienhoop came up with a key interception, and Dane Hoopingarner pounced on a fumble to help keep the Dragons in check. With the win, the East freshmen improve to 4-0 on the year. They’ll put their unbeaten record on the line next week when they travel to Floyd Central for a key Hoosier Hills Conference showdown.
