Olympians Fall to Bulldogs in Road Tennis Match

The Columbus East boys tennis team made the trip to Batesville on Thursday evening, where they faced a talented Bulldogs squad. Despite competing hard across all five courts, the Olympians came up short in a 5-0 setback. At singles, Kai Bergmann battled at the top spot before dropping a 6-2, 6-0 decision. Trevor Ernst followed at No. 2 singles, falling 6-0, 6-2, while Landon Redelman came up short at No. 3 by scores of 6-0, 6-1. In doubles play, the No. 1 team of Michael Reed and Micah Wettschurack fell 6-0, 6-1, and the No. 2 duo of Carson Hartsook and Cooper Harry also dropped their match by the same margin. The O's pickup their rackets once again this Saturday when they play in the Shelbyville Invitational. Matches begin at 9 a.m.
