Olympians Sweep Jeffersonville, Stay Perfect in HHC Play

The Columbus East volleyball team kept its Hoosier Hills Conference record spotless Wednesday night, cruising to a three-set win at Jeffersonville. The Olympians controlled the match from start to finish, posting scores of 25-18, 25-11, 25-12. Strong play at the net set the tone for East. Lilah Klei finished with nine kills and three blocks while also serving an ace, and Chloe Gill added eight kills to go along with 15 digs in the back row. Setter Payten Osborn directed the attack with 19 assists, while Kenlee Gault chipped in with five more. Defensively, Addy Dean and Anika Jenkins each turned away two shots at the net, and Krea Martin collected 13 digs. From the service line, Delaney Richards and Kyleigh Dover both delivered an ace to keep the pressure on the Red Devils. The Olympians are back in action this Saturday when they head to Providence High School to play in the Providence Early Bird Invite which features some of the top teams in the State.
