The Columbus East cross country team lined up against cross-town rival Columbus North on Tuesday evening at CERA Sports Park, running in much cooler conditions than last year’s canceled dual. The Bull Dogs dominated the meet, taking the top ten positions and securing a 15-50 team victory. Norman Dickson led the Olympians with an 11th-place finish in 17:03.06. Elijah Clore was next across for East, placing 19th in 18:05.44. Maddox Hult followed in 26th at 18:46.90, while Riley Wilson finished 29th in 19:11.40. Rounding out East’s varsity lineup, Cullen Fullerton took 30th in 20:12.97, Zayden Weatherford placed 40th in 21:59.26, and Beckett Mocas finished 41st in 22:00.99. The Olympians will look to regroup and continue their early-season development as they move deeper into the fall schedule. Their next meet is the Columbus North Classic Invite on Saturday, September 6th starting at 9:30 a.m. at CERA Sports Park.
