Columbus East High School

The Columbus East boys cross-country team turned in a solid performance Saturday morning at the Brown County Harrier Classic, finishing sixth overall in the team standings at Eagle Park. Sophomore Norman Dickson paced the Olympians with a strong 13th-place finish, covering the 5K course in 16:53.5. He was followed by Elijah Clore, who crossed in 17:53.5 for 40th place. Maddux Hunt (18:39.7, 61st), Lorren Westerfeld (18:43.7, 64th), and Riley Wilson (18:51.6, 72nd) rounded out East’s top five scorers. The Olympians will return to competition on Tuesday, August 26, when they host cross-town rival Columbus North at CERA Sports Park. The meet is set to begin at 5:30 p.m.
