The Columbus East football team opened its season Friday night with a 42-7 loss at Bloomington South. The Olympians’ lone score came in the third quarter when quarterback Kyson Villarreal connected with Keaton Lawson on a 5-yard touchdown pass to finish off an impressive drive. East will return home next Friday to face crosstown rival Columbus North in the annual rivalry matchup.
