Olympian Girls Compete at Brown County Challenge

The Columbus East girls cross-country team took part in the Brown County Cross-Country Challenge Invitational on Wednesday at Eagle Park. Scoring was determined by combining the places of each school’s top three two-runner teams. The Olympians finished fourth with 46 points. Leading the way for East was the duo of Delaney Rogers and Ainslee Shaw, who placed 18th overall in 23:12.5. Daphne May and Brooke Newell teamed up for a 20th-place finish in 24:27.4, while Camilla DeVreese and Elizabeth Sztaba crossed in 27:50.6 for 25th. The Olympians will race again this coming Tuesday, August 26th, when they face their cross-town rivals the Columbus North Bulldogs. Race start time: 5:30 p.m. @ CERAland Park. Good luck O's!
