Olympian Girls Golf Competes in Franklin Invitational

The Columbus East girls golf team took part in the Franklin Invitational on Saturday afternoon at The Legends Golf Course in Franklin. The event featured a strong field of programs including Columbus North, Plainfield, Batesville, Southport, Castle, Corydon Central, Franklin Community, Franklin Central, and Whiteland. The Olympians finished 14th overall with a team score of 467. Abby King led the way for East with a 105, followed by Calleigh Gill at 114. Amaylie Walsh and Sofia Perez each turned in rounds of 124, while Emma Gill added a 126 to round out the scoring. The Olympians will be back in action Monday, August 18th traveling to Seymour, IN to battle the Seymour Owls at Shadowood G.C., start time 4:15, then back at home at Otter Creek G.C. on Wednesday, August 20th when they face the Greenwood Woodmen starting at 5 p.m. Good luck O's!!
