Olympians Gain Experience at New Albany Invitational Battling a deep field and a challenging Valley View Golf Club layout in Floyds Knobs, IN, the Columbus East girls golf team earned an 11th-place finish at Saturday’s New Albany Invitational, posting a team total of 438. Emma Gill led the charge for the Olympians with a steady 107, followed closely by Amaylie Walsh’s 108. Abby King turned in a 111, Sofia Perez added a 112, and Calleigh Gill closed the scoring with a 120. The invitational drew some of the top programs in the area, giving East valuable experience and an opportunity to test their game early in the season. The Olympians will look to build on this performance and continue to improve as the season progresses.
