Columbus East High School

Columbus East junior Lauren Degner capped off a strong season by representing the Olympians at the 2025 IHSAA Individual State Tournament. Degner faced tough competition in her opening-round match and came up short, falling 1-6, 1-6. Despite the loss, Degner’s appearance at the state tournament was a well-earned accomplishment after a standout junior campaign. She consistently led East throughout the season and proved herself as one of the top singles players in the area. With one year left in her high school career, Lauren will look to build on this experience and return even stronger for her senior season. Great job, Lauren, and congratulations on a great year!
