The Columbus East boys golf team made the most of home-course advantage Tuesday evening, edging out Hoosier Hills Conference opponent Jennings County 173-179 in a tightly contested match on the North Nine at Otter Creek Golf Course. Carter Greene turned in a steady round to earn medalist honors, firing a 42 to pace the Olympians. He was backed by strong showings from Mason Reeves and Braxton Burton, who each carded a 43. Jackson Miller followed close behind with a 45, while Ethan Bumbalough and Luke Rice rounded out the scoring with matching 46s. With balanced scores across the lineup, Columbus East secured the six-stroke victory in what proved to be a competitive and confident team performance. Tuesday's win gives the Olympians a boost of confidence in conference play as they continue sharpening their game with each round.
