Columbus East continued its strong start to the softball season Friday with a 15-0 win over Brown County in five innings. The Olympians (2-0) have now posted double-digit runs and hits in each of their first three games, though only two officially count in the standings. On Friday, they struck early with three runs in the first inning, then added five runs each in the third and fourth to take control. East's offense stayed steady throughout, finishing with 13 hits. Junior second baseman Natasha Armstrong had a standout performance at the plate, going 4 for 4 with a double and two RBIs. In the circle, Baleigh Fish and Raegyn Foster combined to hold Brown County to five hits while striking out 11 batters over five innings. The pitching duo kept things under control from start to finish. With another solid team effort, the Olympians are building early momentum as they settle into the season.
