This week, Columbus East High School proudly joins schools across Indiana in recognizing IHSAA/NFHS Spring Sports Officials Appreciation Week, April 6–12, 2025. Our athletic contests would not be possible without the commitment and integrity of the referees, umpires, and officials who serve as vital leaders in education-based athletics. Their role extends far beyond enforcing rules — they model sportsmanship, fairness, and respect for student-athletes, coaches, and fans alike. Throughout the week, Columbus East is taking time to show appreciation in meaningful ways, including: Public address recognitions before games Photos with teams and officials Social media shoutouts We encourage all members of our school community — students, parents, staff, and fans — to help us celebrate these unsung heroes of high school sports.
