Columbus East’s Monica McMahon Nominated for Winter Sports Athlete of the Year at Statewide Awards Show

Monica McMahon, a senior from Columbus East High School, has been nominated for Winter Sports Athlete of the Year in girls wrestling as part of the 2024-25 Indiana High School Sports Awards, presented by the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever. The event will take place Sunday, April 27, at Clowes Memorial Hall at Butler University, with doors opening at 4 p.m. and the show beginning at 5 p.m. During the live ceremony, winter sport nominees will be recognized, and winners for various categories—including Overall Male and Female Athlete of the Year, Courage Award, Team of the Year, and Coach of the Year—will be announced. Nominated athletes and those on the spring watch list can receive free tickets by RSVPing, and additional free tickets are available thanks to sponsors. Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White will be the guest speaker. The Indiana Mr. Basketball Award will also be presented live during the event.
