Five Columbus East Wrestlers Earn Academic All-State Honors Columbus East continues to shine both on the mat and in the classroom, as five Olympian wrestlers have been named to the Academic All-State Team. This prestigious recognition highlights student-athletes who excel in both academics and athletics. Senior Rohan McWilliams earned a spot on the 1st Team, while juniors Talon Jessup and Caleb Cooper also secured 1st Team honors. Juniors Caleb Kirkpatrick and Dominic Piper were named to the 2nd Team. To qualify for Academic All-State, student-athletes must maintain a strong cumulative GPA—3.25 or higher for 2nd Team and 3.5 or higher for 1st Team—with at least five semesters completed for juniors and seven for seniors. Congratulations to these Olympians for their hard work and dedication both in competition and in the classroom!
