Columbus East is making a splash this season by sending a record number of individual athletes to the IHSAA state meet—adding to the program’s tradition of strong relay performances. State Qualifiers The Olympians have qualified in both individual and team events: - **Keaton Stephenson (Senior):** Qualified to swim the 200-yard freestyle. - **Josh Pendleton (Freshman):** Earned his spot in the 500-yard freestyle. - **Misha Machavariani (Senior):** Will compete in the 100-yard breaststroke. - **Relay Team:** Stephenson, Pendleton, and Machavariani will team up with senior Eli Isaacs for the 400-yard freestyle relay. - **Gavin Day (Diver):** Qualified from the Jasper Diving Regional, marking his continued presence at state competitions. Meet Details: Friday, Feb 28, 2025 Saturday, Mar 1, 2025 The IHSAA Swimming and Diving Meet will take place at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis with the following schedule: Friday: Swimming preliminaries kick off at 6 p.m. Saturday: Diving preliminaries begin at 9 a.m., followed by the diving semifinals. Swimming consolation and championship finals start at 1 p.m., with the top 16 divers taking their final three dives during a break in the swimming finals.
