Location: East Central High School 1 Trojan Place St. Leon IN 47012 DATE: Thursday, February 20th Swimming Preliminaries Saturday, February 22nd Diving Preliminaries/Semi-Finals (a.m.) Saturday, February 22nd Finals All Events (p.m.) CHECK IN Coaches are asked to check in with the Meet Director and receive a packet of information upon arrival. There will be a table inside the pool door for this purpose. No participant passes will be issued. We will, however, ask for your cooperation in allowing only swimmers, divers, coaches, and managers on the deck. The deck will be crowded with 14 teams, and any extras should sit in the spectator area. LOCKER ROOM AND DECK ASSIGNMENTS These areas will be assigned when you arrive to check in. All participants are asked to bring locks and to keep valuables in a safe place. ADMISSION All presale tickets are general admission and are available for purchase via EventLink ticketing (additional fees may apply). Cash tickets will be sold at the gate the day of each event. Spectators must have a ticket to enter. All digital tickets will be tap to redeem by our staff at the gate. Per Session Pass $7.00 Children 5 & under are free The Principal and Athletic Director will be admitted by identifying themselves at the door. CONCESSIONS A concession stand will be available throughout the meet outside of the natatorium for food and drink purchase. FACILITY East Central is equipped with an 8-lane pool and Colorado timing system. The diving well has two 1-meter Duraflex modified boards and is 12ft 6in deep. We are very proud of our facility and ask that you pick up empty food and drink containers that you bring into the pool area, locker rooms, and SPECTATOR AREA. STREAMING Streaming will be available through Trojan Media Productions, found on YouTube. RESTRICTIONS Principals should inform student and adult fans of the following tournament restrictions: No publications, brochures, fliers, etc. of any kind, whether for sale or free-of-charge, are to be distributed at IHSAA tournament events without prior approval from IHSAA. Balloons, banners and posters, shakers on sticks, etc., are not permitted. Cowbells and other such noise devices, etc., are not permitted Pep bands are permitted. No live animals are permitted. Line-up lanes of fans shall not be permitted on the deck at any time Solicitations – donations, contributions and aggressive vending of school spirit items are not permitted. It shall be the responsibility of each high school principal to see that the above restrictions are enforced. AWARDS In order that we may run an efficient meet, we will ask the coaches to cooperate in getting their swimmers to the awards stands after the consolation heat of the event following theirs – parents of the winning swimmer will hand out the awards. A trophy will be awarded to the championship team, and ribbons will be presented to contestants placing 1st through 8th in each event. DIVING 1ST, 2ND, 3RD, and 4th place sectionals finishers’ advance to the Regional diving competition which will be at Jasper High School on Thursday, February 25th at 6:00 p.m. DIVING SHEETS The IHSAA will be utilizing a new dive scoresheet system. Coaches will enter their diver’s information via the myIHSAA.net dashboard under “Upcoming Diving Meets.” Entries are due by Thursday, February 20th at 12:00 pm. Dives may be changed until 1 hour prior to the diving on Saturday morning of the sectionals. All signatures will be done prior to diving on Saturday morning. OFFICIAL RULES The 2024-2025 Swimming and Diving Rules published by the National Federation and so further modified by the IHSAA in these regulations, shall govern. (A coach or representative from each team must attend.) Hospitality will be provided. 5:45 p.m. Warm-up Period Ends 6:00 p.m. Swimming Preliminaries Begin *There will be a 15-minute break following the final heat of the 50 yard freestyle, at which time swimmers may get in the water. ** An area of the shallow end will be roped off for swimming down after races. Please keep the time spent there to a minimum. FRIDAY 5:00 p.m. The diving boards are open for acclimation and safety consideration until 7:00 p.m. **All Divers must be under supervision of their school’s coach during this time. ** SATURDAY (Morning) 7:00 a.m. Pool Opens 7:30 a.m. Diving Warm-up 8:00 a.m. Gates open for spectators 8:30 a.m. Scratch Meeting will be held in the Hospitality room (All teams with divers must have a representative attend.) Hospitality will be provided. 9:15 a.m. Diving Warm-up Period Ends 9:30 a.m. Diving Preliminaries Begin *After 5 rounds of diving, there will be a 15-minute break, at which time the field of divers will be reduced to 16 (provided there are more than 16 divers). Those 16 divers will then perform 3 more dives. The final 16 divers will do their last 3 dives after the finals of the 50-yard Freestyle in the afternoon. ** We will ask that 5 coaches judge, judges will be selected at the Saturday morning scratch meeting. SATURDAY (Afternoon) 12:00 p.m. Pool Open for Warm-ups 12:30 p.m. Scratch Meeting will be held in the Aux Gym. (A coach or representative from each team must attend.)
