Columbus East High School

The Columbus East gymnastics team took the floor at the Bloomington South Invitational on Saturday morning, finishing with a total team score of 91.95. Bethany Lewis led the Olympians with a strong individual showing, earning second place on vault (9.075), beam (8.925), and in the all-around (35.3), while also placing third on floor (9.275). Gracie Collier and Sophia Begley also contributed to the team’s effort. Collier’s best score came on vault (8.05), and she posted a 7.35 on beam, 7.85 on floor, and 5.5 on bars for an all-around total of 28.75. Begley scored a 7.925 on vault, 7.025 on beam, 7.175 on floor, and 5.775 on bars, finishing with an all-around total of 27.9. The Olympians will aim to build on their performances as they continue their season.
