The Columbus East girls basketball team closed out their regular season on Thursday night, falling to the Cathedral Irish 49-25 at the Orange Pit. The Olympians battled throughout the game but couldn’t overcome a tough Cathedral squad. The night also served as a special occasion, as Columbus East honored its seniors—Kimberly Carothers, Ellie Schlaudroff, and early graduate Kiarra Capps—for their dedication and commitment to the program. Their leadership and contributions have been invaluable, and they leave behind a lasting impact. Thank you, seniors! Looking Ahead: IHSAA State Tournament With the regular season now behind them, the Olympians shift their focus to the postseason. They will compete in the IHSAA 4A Sectional #14, beginning next week.
