The Columbus East swim teams hit the road Tuesday night to face off against the Greensburg Pirates, with the Olympian boys securing a hard-fought 78-71 victory while the girls fell 89-63. The East boys put together a strong team effort, led by Misha Machavariani, who sprinted to wins in the 50-yard freestyle (23.38) and 100 freestyle (50.92). Keaton Stephenson added a win in the 200 freestyle (1:49.51), Josh Pendleton took the 200 individual medley (2:08.90), and Ethan Hall dominated the distance event with a first-place finish in the 500 freestyle (5:41.06). The Olympians also performed strong in the relay events, winning both the 200 medley (1:47.45) and 400 freestyle (3:29.86) relays to help secure the team win.
