The Columbus East freshman boys basketball team continues to impress, showcasing dominance on both ends of the court in a pair of victories this week. With their latest wins—57-19 against Trinity Lutherans' C team on Thursday and 53-29 over Jeffersonville's freshmen on Saturday—the Olympians extended their undefeated streak to 12-0 overall and 4-0 in the Hoosier Hills Conference. East's success stems from their hallmark stingy defense and exceptional team play. The Olympians held both opponents to low scores while maintaining a balanced offensive attack, featuring contributions from nearly every player on the roster. Against Trinity Lutheran, 10 players scored, led by Jacob Thomas with an explosive 15 points in just four minutes of action. Keatin Roberts paced the team against Jeffersonville, tallying 13 points, as nine players found the scoring column. Game Highlights: - Trinity Lutheran: Jacob Thomas (15), Terran Degraffenreid (10), Connor Rodarte (9), Jax Branaman (8), Keatin Roberts (4), Carson Gallion (3), Josiah Shelton (3), Cadyn Goodlow (2), Layton Henry (2), Patrick Strickland (1). - Jeffersonville: Keatin Roberts (13), Kam Robertson (9), Daelyn Diaz (9), Carson Gallion (6), Josiah Shelton (6), Jax Branaman (3), Patrick Strickland (3), Terran Degraffenreid (2), Jacob Thomas (2). As the freshman squad looks to build on its remarkable run, their defense-first mentality and unselfish play remain the keys to their continued success. Keep an eye on this promising group of athletes as they take on the challenges of a packed week. Good luck O's!
