The Columbus East girls basketball team hosted the Madison Cubs on Saturday afternoon in the Orange Pit. Despite playing with energy and determination, especially in the first half, the Olympians ultimately fell to the Cubs, 81-48. Senior forward Kimberly Carothers delivered a standout performance, scoring a career-high 31 points and leading all scorers in the game. Carothers scored in every quarter, demonstrating her offensive dominance with an impressive stat line: - 2-point field goals: 9 - 3-point field goals: 2 - Free throws: 7-8 Carothers's effort was supported by contributions from her teammates: - Ella Anthis: 7 points (1-3pts, 2-2pts) - Averie Graham: 5 points (2-2pts, 1-4 FT) - Kenzie Cheek: 3 points (1-3pts) - Krea Martin: 2 points (1-2pts) Winding Down the Season The Olympians have just two games remaining in the regular season.
