The Columbus East Olympians wrestling team traveled to Brownsburg, Indiana, for their final dual meet before the IHSAA State Wrestling Tournament, squaring off against the state’s top-ranked Brownsburg Bulldogs, who are also ranked 11th nationally by Flowrestling.com. Despite a valiant effort, the Olympians faced a dominant Bulldogs squad. Columbus East’s standout performance came from Hank Redman (175 lbs), who earned a technical fall victory over Corbin Aiken with a commanding 16-0 score. However, Brownsburg’s depth and talent were on full display as they secured decisive wins across multiple weight classes, including major decisions, technical falls, and pins. The Olympians now turn their focus to the upcoming IHSAA State Tournament which begins Saturday, February 1st at Jennings County High School. Wrestling begins at 9 a.m.
