Columbus East Freshmen Surge Past Floyd Central for Saturday Victory

The Columbus East freshman boys basketball team put together a strong second quarter on Saturday evening, propelling them to a 36-16 win over Floyd Central in a Hoosier Hills Conference matchup at home. A decisive 17-2 run in the second quarter gave the Olympians the cushion they needed to stay in control for the rest of the game. With the win, they improved to 8-0 overall and 2-0 in HHC play, continuing their impressive start to the season. Scoring Leaders: - Jacob Thomas led the way with 12 points. - Carson Gallion and Kam Robertson each added 6 points. - Keatin Roberts contributed 4 points. - Josiah Kiel had 3 points, with Cadyn Goodlow and Josiah Shelton scoring 2 apiece. - Terran Degraffenreid rounded out the scoring with 1 point.
