Columbus East Girls Wrestling Wins First-ever 2025 IHSAA Regional Wrestling Championship! The Columbus East Girls Wrestling team dominated at the 2025 IHSAA Regional Team Championship, claiming victory at Mooresville High School with an impressive total of 164 points. The Olympians edged out Whiteland High School, who finished second with 154 points, to bring home the championship title. Leading the charge for Columbus East were Grace McMahon (170) and Monica McMahon (190), who both earned individual Regional Champion honors. Their stellar performances highlighted a day filled with triumphs and determination. Other top finishes included: Saige Plummer (125) and Eden Knight (145), who secured strong second-place finishes. Madison Swartzentruber (135), capturing third place. Tienica Dits (100), Madison Mount (130), and Madison Shrader (155), each fighting hard for fourth place. Even without placing, Lucynda Destin (155) contributed three critical team points, showing the depth of the Olympians' roster. Meanwhile, Issabel Wakefield battled through her first match but did not place. With the regional championship under their belt, the Olympians now set their sights on the IHSAA State Tournament, kicking off January 17 at Corteva Coliseum, Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center, located at 1202 E. 38th Street, Indianapolis.
