Columbus East High School

The Columbus East girls basketball team traveled to North Decatur High School to battle the Chargers in a regular season holiday break Monday night game. The Olympians couldn't overcome a slow starting first quarter, falling behind 20-5, and went on to fall to the Chargers 50-38. The Olympians outscored the Chargers in the 2nd & 3rd quarters, but couldn't get over the hump in the 4th quarter. Scoring for the Olympians: Kimberley Carothers lead all East scorers with 12 points: 2 - 3 pt., 1 - 2 pt., and 4 - 6 ft Kenzie Cheek added 10 points: 2 - 3 pt., 1 -2 pt., and 2-2 ft Lola Watkins tallied 7 points: 2 -2 pts. and 1 - 3pts Ella Anthis scored 7 points: 2 - 2pts. and 1- 3pts. Krea Martin added 2 points: 1 - 2pts.
