Olympians Shine at Columbus East JV Wrestling Invitational

Columbus East High School hosted the JV Wrestling Invitational in the Orange Pit on Saturday morning, showcasing the skills of its young wrestlers. The Olympians amassed an impressive combined record of 38 wins and 32 losses, demonstrating their potential against tough competition. The Invitational featured wrestlers from North Central High School, Terre Haute North High School, Warren Central High School, Madison Consolidated High School, Terre Haute, South Vigo High School, Monrovia Jr-Sr High School, Whiteland Community High School, and East Central High School. Notable Performances: Connor Fudge (138 lbs, 9th grade) and Mason Eubanks (150 lbs, 10th grade) led the team with perfect 3-0 records. -Adam Dye (175 lbs, 10th grade) excelled with a stellar 4-0 performance. Brayden Lee (175 lbs, 10th grade) went 3-0, along with Ethan Gilley (190 lbs. 10th grade) going 3-0. Brian Findley (132 lbs, 10th grade), Max Perry (144 lbs, 10th grade) each contributed with 2-1 records, showing their resilience on the mat. Other Standouts: Aiden Miller (165 lbs, 11th grade) and Rohan McWilliams (165 lbs, 12th grade) also went undefeated, finishing 3-0 in their matches. Several freshmen wrestlers, including Ayden Hamm (120 lbs) and Joshua Maya (150 lbs), picked up wins on Saturday. The future looks bright for the Columbus East wrestling program, as the JV squad continues to develop and compete with heart.
