Columbus East Volleyball Secures 3-1 Win Over Madison in Final Regular Season Road Match

The Columbus East Olympians volleyball team picked up a 3-1 victory over former Hoosier Hills Conference opponent, the Madison Cubs. The Olympians came out strong, taking the first two sets 25-16 and 25-19, but encountered a setback in the third set, losing a closely contested 23-25. However, they quickly regrouped, sealing the win with a 25-17 victory in the fourth set. With this victory, the Olympians head to Roncalli on Thursday for their last regular season road match of the year and then get ready for the Columbus East Volleyball Invitational on Saturday, October 12th, at 9 a.m. The tournament will feature strong teams from Danville Community High School, Avon High School, Silver Creek High School, Bloomington North High School, Jasper High School, and Trinity Lutheran High School. We hope to see in the Orange Pit! Support your O's! Sectional Showdown on the Horizon: Following the Invitational, Columbus East will have a full week to prepare for their sectional matchup against East Central High School on Saturday, October 19th, in Match #2 of the IHSAA Sectional at East Central High School.
