The Columbus East boys soccer team hosted the 3A No. 8-ranked Bloomington South Panthers at the BCSC Soccer Complex on Monday night, putting up a strong fight despite a 2-0 loss. The Panthers scored a goal in each half, outshooting the Olympians 14-3. With just two regular-season matches remaining, the Olympians are focused on closing out the season on a high note before heading into IHSAA tournament play next week. Next up is Senior Night, as East hosts Franklin Central at the BCSC Soccer Complex this Thursday, October 3rd, at 7:30 p.m. The Olympians will then travel to face Hoosier Hills Conference opponent Jeffersonville on Saturday, October 5th, at 12:30 p.m. A win on Saturday could secure a 2nd place finish in the HHC standings, adding extra motivation for the squad. Good luck to the Olympians as they look to finish the regular season strong!
