2024 Hoosier Hills Conference Cross Country Championships Saturday, October 5, 9:00 am **All entries will be on milesplit.com. Also, all meet info will be on milesplit.com and abtiming.com Once they have the meet loaded, each coach will receive an email with an invite to enter your runners. The deadline for entries will be Thursday, October 3rd.** Location: Cera Sports Park and Campground 3989 S. 525 E Columbus, Indiana (Cera does charge a $5 entry fee for spectators) TIME SCHEDULE: 8:00: Coaches Packet Pick Up 8:30: Coaches Meeting Starter: David Yeary 9:00: Race 1 Girls Race - 5000M (5 score – limit 12 runners) 9:45: Race 2 Boys Race - 5000M (5 score – limit 12 runners) AWARDS PRESENTATION TO FOLLOW AT THE FINISH LINE HHC Rules and Awards: Cross Country: a.) The cross-country championships shall be determined by a conference meet to be held one - two weeks prior to the IHSAA sectional cross-country meet. b.) Each school may enter 12 runners. The first 5 finishers of each school will count toward the team score. In case of team ties, the placing of the 6th runner will determine the team finish. Seven individual ribbons shall be awarded to the winning team. A plaque shall be presented to the winning coach. The second-place team members shall receive runner-up ribbons. c.) The first 7 finishers shall be named all-conference and shall receive plaques, and the 8th through 14th finishers shall be honorable mention. (Note: only the top 7 finishers from a school are eligible for all conference awards.) Important Information: ● Entries are due to milesplit.com by Thursday, October 3 at 6:00 pm. ● Please be sure your athletes pin the competitor number on the front of the body and do not remove the competitor number tag at the bottom of the number. ● The top 7 finishers will be awarded all-conference plaques. ● Places 8-14 will be named honorable mention. ● 1st and 2nd-place teams will receive ribbons. ● East will have a certified trainer on site.
