Columbus East boys tennis dropped a 4-1 decision to Bedford North-Lawrence in the second round of the Hoosier Hills Conference tournament on Wednesday night at Columbus East. The lone victory for the Olympians came at No. 1 singles, where Tyler Ernst powered past Jackson Corey with a solid 6-3, 6-1 performance. At No. 2 singles, Owen Kirk battled through a tough second set but ultimately fell 6-1, 7-6 (2). Michael Reed, playing at No. 3 singles, lost 6-0, 6-0. In doubles action, the No. 1 duo of Trevor Ernst and Micah Wettschurack were defeated by 6-0, 6-1. At No. 2 doubles, Jonas Newell and Carson Hartsook lost 6-2, 6-1. The Olympians will look to bounce back as they continue tournament play on Friday, September 27th at 5:30 p.m. Location: TBD
