In a challenging Hoosier Hills Conference matchup on Tuesday night, the Columbus East girls soccer team fell to the Jeffersonville Red Devils, suffering a 6-2 loss at the Richard Wigh Soccer Complex. Sophie Glick contributed to the Olympians’ offense by netting a penalty kick and assisting on a goal by Emma Christie. However, Jeffersonville dominated the game, outshooting East 17-5 and applying consistent pressure. Columbus East’s goalkeeper, Cara Veach, made seven saves to keep the team in the contest. The girls soccer team are back in action Tuesday, October 1st at Oldenburg Academy. Start time: 5:30 p.m.
