The Columbus East girls soccer team notched their second win of the season on Thursday, defeating the Hauser Jets 2-0 at the BCSC Soccer Complex. The Olympians wasted no time, taking control early by scoring both of their goals in the first 18 minutes. Cadence Zeser struck first in the 3rd minute, capitalizing on a well-placed assist from Morgan Scott. The duo repeated their success in the 18th minute when Scott once again set up Zeser for her second goal of the match. East dominated possession, outshooting Hauser 19-5 and putting 10 shots on target compared to the Jets' three. Goalkeeper Emma Christie made two saves in the first half, while Cara Veach added another in the second half to secure the shutout. The Olympians will hit the road next, traveling to New Albany for a Hoosier Hills Conference showdown on Saturday, September 21st, at 11 a.m.
