Columbus East High School

The Columbus East boys soccer team continued their strong conference play Thursday, securing a 4-2 victory over Hoosier Hills Conference opponent Jennings County in North Vernon. Emilio Quintero Aguirre and Luis Ceballos each netted two goals to lead the Olympians to the win. Quintero Aguirre also provided the assists on both of Ceballos’ goals, while Chris Ortega Gonzalez added an assist to round out the scoring for East. The Olympians improved their record to 5-4-1 overall and 3-0 in the conference. The Olympians are back in action Tuesday, September 24th when they host Hoosier Hills Conference challenger, the Floyd Central Highlanders at the BCSC Soccer Complex. Match time approx.: 7:30 p.m.
