Columbus East High School

The Columbus East girls volleyball team faced a challenging road match Thursday as they traveled to New Albany to take on Hoosier Hills Conference rival, the Bulldogs. Despite their efforts, the Olympians were swept in three sets, falling 25-15, 25-11, 25-10. Lauren Smith led the way for East, contributing 10 digs and one ace. Lilah Klei and Anika Jenkins each delivered five kills, while Audrey Bush recorded five assists and Krea Martin added one ace and six digs. Jillian Chapple also chipped in with four assists. The O's are back in action Tuesday, September 24th as they head to Center Grove High School to battle the Trojans. Match time: 7 p.m.
