The Columbus East boys tennis team struggled against a dominant Greensburg Pirates squad on Wednesday, losing 5-0 in straight sets. At No. 1 singles, Tyler Ernst was defeated 6-0, 6-1. Owen Kirk, playing at No. 2 singles, and Michael Reed at No. 3 singles, also fell by identical 6-0, 6-1 scores. In doubles action, the No. 1 team of Trevor Ernst and Micah Wettschurack suffered a 6-0, 6-1 defeat. At No. 2 doubles, Jonas Newell and Carson Hartsook were handed a 6-1, 6-0 loss. The Olympians are back on the court tonight (9/19) as they host HHC foe, the Seymour Owls. Match time: 5:30 p.m.
