Columbus East girls golf team wrapped up their regular season in a special way, honoring their seniors during Senior Night at Otter Creek on Wednesday. Despite a 186-200 defeat to a strong Martinsville team, the Olympians showcased their commitment and effort on the course. Columbus East Athletics and Columbus East Golf says "Thank You" to our 2025 senior class: Grace LaSell, Sophia Begley, and Allison Sharpe! Grace LaSell led the way for Columbus East, turning in a solid round with a score of 42. Teammates Sophia Begley and Allison Sharpe followed closely, each finishing with a 52. Abby King contributed a 53, while Amaylie Walsh added a 59. Seniors Sofia Perez and Kolbi Stephenson, playing an important role on this memorable night, each shot a 60. Although the night ended with a loss, the focus was on celebrating the team’s seniors and their contributions to the program. With the regular season behind them, the Olympians are looking forward to building on their progress as they prepare for postseason competition. IHSAA Sectional play starts Monday, September 23rd.
