Olympians Dominate in 3-0 Victory at Franklin Community

Columbus East boys soccer team had a great Tuesday night with a commanding 3-0 victory over Franklin Community. The Olympians displayed teamwork and precision, securing the shutout on the road. Luis Ceballos opened the scoring for East, converting a well-placed assist from Ian Scholl. Emilio Quintero Aguirre doubled the lead with a goal, thanks to a perfect setup from Josh VanValkenburg. Jonathan Sylva capped off the scoring, finding the back of the net off an assist from Quintero Aguirre. Ryder Meek was solid in goal, posting the clean sheet to help secure the win for the Olympians. Right back at it: The O's are back on the pitch Thursday (9/19) as they travel to Hoosier Hills conference member, Jennings County H.S. to face the Panthers. Match time: 6 p.m.
