Columbus East Boys Cross-Country Finishes Fifth at Whiteland Invitational

The Columbus East boys cross-country team secured a fifth-place finish at Saturday's Whiteland Invitational, scoring 138 points. Whiteland took the top spot with 31 points. Jackson Brookes led the Olympians, placing 19th with a time of 18 minutes, 12.09 seconds, Norman Dickson followed closely in 21st place, clocking 18:15.57. Other top finishers for East included Elijah Clore, who took 24th (18:20.80), Austin Menefee in 36th (18:47.89), and Chance Knapp, who finished 48th with a time of 19:28.14. The team’s strong collective performance earned them a solid finish in the competitive field. The O's are back to running on Saturday, September 21st as they compete in the Jennings County Invite in North Vernon, IN. Meet time: 9 a.m.
