East boys tennis falls to the Trojans - Results

East Central swept all five matches on Wednesday, resulting in a 5-0 boys tennis loss for Columbus East. In singles play, Tyler Ernst put up a tough fight at No. 1, ultimately falling 6-0, 6-1. Owen Kirk showed resilience at No. 2 singles, battling to a 6-0, 6-3 result. At No. 3 singles, Micah Wettschurack delivered a solid effort before dropping 6-2, 6-1 In doubles, Trevor Ernst and Michael Reed came close in a hard-fought first set at No. 1 doubles but were edged out 7-6 (5), 6-1. Jonas Newell and Carson Hartsook also put in a strong performance at No. 2 doubles, though they eventually fell 6-3, 6-0. The Olympians are back in action tonight (9/12) as they host the Bulldogs of Batesville at the Columbus East Tennis Complex. Match time: 5 p.m.
