O's Girls Soccer Shine in Win vs. Bedford North-Lawrence

The Columbus East girls soccer team broke through in style, securing their first win of the season with a 3-0 victory over Hoosier Hills Conference opponent Bedford North-Lawrence on Tuesday night at the BCSC Soccer Complex. The O’s put on a defensive clinic, limiting BNL to just 4 shots on goal while creating plenty of offensive opportunities with 13 shots on target, finding the back of the net three times. It was a fantastic all-around performance! Key Stats for the O’s: - Total shots: East 22, BNL 5 - Cadence Zeser: 1 Goal (First half) - Sophie Glick: 2 Goals (Second half) - Emma Christie: 1 Assist - Emma Christie (Goalie, first half): 2 saves - Cara Veach (Goalie, second half): 2 saves In the JV game, BNL edged out East 1-0, with Cara Veach making 5 impressive saves. The Olympians won’t have much time to rest, as they gear up for their next match on Thursday, September 12th, when they host the Batesville Bulldogs at the BCSC Soccer Complex. JV kicks off at 5:30 p.m., followed by varsity at 7 p.m.
