East Girls Cross-Country @ Weinheimer Classic

The Columbus East girls cross-country team gave a strong effort at the Weinheimer Classic at Ceraland Sports Park in Columbus, IN, securing 20th place with 570 points in a competitive field. Madison Swartzentruber led the way, finishing in 113th with a time of 22:26.7. Amelia Fay followed closely behind, placing 127th at 22:56.0. Ainslee Shaw, Elizabeth Sztaba, and Delaney Rogers all pushed through with solid times, finishing in 23:45.7, 24:16.8, and 24:20.0, respectively. Hayden Carothers, Abby Collins, Isabel Burbrink, Madison Mount, and Eleanor Dickson also showed great determination, finishing the race with admirable times. The Olympians achieved 6 personal records on the day! The O's girls XC team will be back in action Saturday, September 14th as they travel to Whiteland H.S. to compete in the Warrior Invitational. The meet is planned to start at 8:30 a.m.
