Columbus East High School

The Columbus East boys tennis team traveled to Madison, IN, to face the Cubs of Madison High School. Despite a strong effort, the O's were bested by the Cubs, ending with a score of 5-0. Stats for the O's: - At No. 1 singles, Tyler Ernst fought hard but was defeated 6-3, 6-3. - Owen Kirk gave a commendable effort at No. 2 singles, finishing 6-2, 6-0. - Michael Reed played diligently at No. 3 singles, with a final score of 6-0, 6-0. In doubles: - The team of Trevor Ernst and Micah Wettschurack put up a strong fight at No. 1 doubles, ending 7-5, 6-0. - Cooper Harry and Carson Hartsook showed great determination at No. 2 doubles, concluding their match at 6-0, 6-1. The boys tennis team is back in action, Tuesday, September 3rd when they travel to Edinburgh H.S. to battle the Lancers. Match time: 5 p.m.
